Cookie policy
The website, your preferences and optional statistics.
Updated:
Cookies and browser storage
Cookies are small pieces of data saved by your browser; localStorage and sessionStorage are other types of local storage. We also describe these tools because tracking choices cover more than cookies. The website does not use advertising cookies or third-party embedded maps, magazines or videos.
Technical preferences
sessionStorage: the sardinia-luxury-appearance key contains only auto, light or dark. It maintains the appearance while browsing in the same tab; it usually ends when the tab closes, unless the browser restores the session. Automatic mode follows Europe/Rome: light from 07:00 to 17:00 and dark at other times.
localStorage: sardinia-luxury-consent-v1 remembers your statistics choice for six months, with notice version, date and expiry. It contains no visitor identifier and is not sent to a publisher customer database. These technical preferences support functions requested by the user.
Optional statistics
When the Google Analytics 4 connection is active, its tag loads only after “Accept statistics” or saving the corresponding choice. Google may set _ga and _ga_* to distinguish browsers and sessions. The tag limits cookies to 365 days without automatic renewal; if you decline, it is not loaded and not even cookieless signals are sent.
Internal counts are separate from Analytics: they install no cookies or identifiers and continue to display only aggregate figures even if you decline Google Analytics.
Choosing and withdrawing consent
In the banner you can choose “Necessary only”, “Accept statistics” or “Customize”, without restricting access to content. Scrolling a page or opening preferences does not give consent. You can change your choice using “Cookie preferences” in every page’s footer.
If you withdraw an active consent, the website clears accessible Analytics cookies and reloads the page to stop the tag. You can also delete cookies and website data in your browser settings; preferences may then be requested again. With JavaScript disabled, Analytics does not load.
