Privacy notice
How we handle the data of people who visit Sardinia Luxury and contact us.
Updated:
Data controller
The controller is Sardinia Magazine Srl, Via Cocco Ortu no. 89, 09128 Cagliari, Italy, VAT no. 02667520924. For personal-data enquiries: info@sardiniamagazine.com.
This notice covers sardinialuxury.com and the variants of sardinialuxuryhome.com and sardinialuxuryhomes.com that redirect to this website.
Browsing and technical preferences
The infrastructure may process your IP address, browser information, requested page, date and time to deliver pages and protect them against abuse. The purpose is website operation and security, based on the legitimate interest in managing the service under GDPR Article 6(1)(f). No account is required.
Your light, dark or automatic appearance preference is stored in the browser tab’s session storage. A cookie choice, when made, remains in the browser for six months. These technical preferences are not used to recognise visitors.
The form and correspondence
The form prepares an email in your browser: your name, email, phone, area, budget, dates, guests, business and message are not stored by the website or sent automatically. You can review the text and choose to open your email application or copy it. Statistics receive only the type of interaction, never the contents of form fields.
If you send the email, we use the information you choose to share to answer and manage your enquiry. The legal basis is requested pre-contractual steps (Article 6(1)(b)) or the legitimate interest in correspondence (Article 6(1)(f)), according to the nature of the contact. Sending is optional; we cannot reply without the necessary contact details. Any involvement of agencies or professionals will be clarified during contact. Acknowledging the privacy notice in the form is not consent to advertising communications.
Internal counts and Google Analytics
The internal counter records page views and interactions by day, entry domain, page, source channel and country where available. It does not store IP addresses, names, emails, visitor identifiers or full referring URLs. It uses no cookies, browser storage or device fingerprints to recognise people. Public figures are aggregate counts and do not measure unique visitors. Recognisable bots are excluded, without guaranteeing that all automated traffic is filtered.
Once the connection is activated, Google Analytics 4 loads only if you accept statistics. It may measure visits, pages read, traffic sources, device information and approximate location using pseudonymous cookie identifiers. The legal basis is consent (Article 6(1)(a)), which you can decline or withdraw in “Cookie preferences” without losing access. The tag does not enable Google Signals, personalised advertising or a publisher User-ID. No data is sent to Google before consent or following refusal.
Data retention
We retain correspondence for the time needed to handle the enquiry and any subsequent relationship, taking legal obligations and the protection of rights into account. Internal counts, without visitor identifiers, are retained to compare the project’s performance; the dashboard shows windows of up to 90 days and the records currently have no automatic expiry. Technical logs follow providers’ service and security criteria.
Analytics user-level and event-level data retention is set to two months without resetting on new activity; Google’s aggregate reports may follow different rules. Analytics cookies have a maximum lifetime of 365 days without automatic renewal.
Providers and external websites
The website is published through OpenAI Sites using Cloudflare infrastructure. Authorised staff and providers of hosting, email and, once activated with consent, Google Analytics may process data needed for their services. Data may be disclosed to authorities when required by law. Providers may also operate outside the European Economic Area; their service terms describe applicable safeguards, including adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
Photos, maps and fonts are served by this website. Links to Beaches in Sardinia, Sardinia Magazine and other websites open external services only when you select them, subject to their own policies.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, erasure, restriction and, where applicable, data portability; you may object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw statistics consent at any time without affecting processing before withdrawal. Write to info@sardiniamagazine.com. You may also complain to the Italian Data Protection Authority or the competent authority in your country. We do not use automated decisions to evaluate your enquiries.
